This policy explains what personal data Monitor.pk collects when you use the Service, why, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and a securely hashed password.
- Monitoring data: the URLs, hosts and ports you ask us to monitor, your monitor settings, alert recipients (email addresses and WhatsApp numbers you add), and the results of our checks (status, response time, messages) and incidents.
- Billing data: payments are handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer reference, your plan, and invoice and payment records (amounts, dates, status). We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Messages you send us: for example through the contact form, including your IP address for abuse prevention.
- Technical data: server logs and security events such as sign-in attempts and IP addresses.
2. How we use it
To provide the Service (running checks and sending alerts and reports), to manage your account and billing, to protect the Service against abuse, to respond to you, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a token that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies and we don't track you across sites.
4. Who we share it with
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Email delivery providers, to send verification, billing and alert emails.
- A WhatsApp messaging gateway, only if you add WhatsApp numbers on a plan that includes WhatsApp alerts.
- Hosting providers that run our infrastructure, and authorities where the law requires.
5. Retention
Raw check results are kept for the history period of your plan; daily summary figures are kept longer to show uptime over time. Account data is kept while your account exists. Billing records may be kept as long as required for accounting and tax. When you delete your account we delete your monitors and history, except data we must retain by law.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, access to data is limited, and the Service refuses to connect to private network addresses. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
7. Your rights
You can view and update your details from your account, and you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to certain processing, by emailing contact@monitor.pk. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data in other countries. Where required we rely on appropriate safeguards.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above. For material changes we'll notify you.
